To prevent anchor damage to the coral reefs, four moorings are available in the Mermaid Reef Marine Park (National Park Zone).

Vessels should only anchor in the anchoring area if there are no moorings available.

These moorings can be booked through WA Parks and Wildlife Service as part of the Rowley Shoals mooring booking process.

In Mermaid Reef Marine Park, vessels may not raft up. This means that vessels must not tether to another anchored vessel without deploying additional anchor/s.

Vessels may not be left unattended either when moored or anchored.
