The following determinations are published on the Federal Register of Legislation.

All zones excluding Special Purpose Zone (Trawl) (IUCN VI)
Specified burial areas
Determination to define burial areas across parks in the network, allowing a Sea Burial to occur where a person has a permit to do so under the Sea Dumping Act.

Disposal of vessels
Determination establishing areas for the disposal of vessels across parks in the network, allowing people with a Sea Dumping Act permit to dispose of a vessel at sea within these areas.

National Park Zones (IUCN II) and all zones
Commercial fishing vessel activity
Determination specifying a minimum transit speed for commercial fishing vessels in National Park Zones and in areas where the commercial fishing vessel’s gear type or fishing method is not allowed, prohibiting the processing and transhipping of fish and vessels with fishing equipment not stowed and secured.

Determination enabling infringement notices to be issued for breeching anchoring restrictions for commercial fishing vessels covered by management plan prescriptions.

Recreational fishing vessel equipment
Determination prohibiting recreational fishing vessels with fishing equipment not stowed and secured, enabling infringement notices to be issued for the act of fishing rather than the actual taking of fish.

Non-commercial fishing limits
Determination replicating the non-commercial fishing possess limits applied to a set of species potentially collected for aquariums listed in Table 15 of Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) regulations.
Recreational fishing daily possession limits
The Coral Sea Management Plan (4.2.7) prescribes that “Recreational fishing must be conducted in accordance with the relevant laws of Queensland…”
The determination refers to possession limits in a day (similar to the GBRMP regulation) meaning that a catch inspected in any zone can result in an offence.
South-east Network
Note: Class approvals are set out for the South-east network in place of the determinations above under ‘All networks'.

Commercial fishing vessel equipment
Determination requiring commercial fishing vessels in areas where commercial fishing operations or the vessel’s gear type is not permitted to have gear stowed and secured.
National Park Zone (IUCN II)
Cage towing
Determination prohibiting cage towing without a permit or approval issued by the Director of National Parks.
Macquarie Island Marine Park – National Park Zone and Sanctuary Zone (IUCN II and Ia)
Commercial fishing practices
Determination prohibiting all commercial fishing practices.
South-west Network
Great Australian Bight Marine Park
Marine mammal protection area
Determination prohibiting the use of all vessels during the period from 1 May to 31 October inclusive each year as a marine mammal protection area.
Temperate-east Network
Lord Howe Island - Recreational Use Zone (IUCN IV)
Recreational fishing
Determination prohibiting recreational fishing at Elizabeth Reef unless a permit is obtained from the Director of National Parks.
Lord Howe Island - National Park Zone (IUCN II)
Prohibited areas for public safety
Determination to prohibit entering or remaining in specific areas for reasons of public safety by anyone other than those acting on behalf or under the instruction of a Commonwealth agency performing an activity necessary to remove unexploded ordnance from the Park.
Norfolk Marine Park
No-take area
Determination to create a no-take area for Emily and Slaughter Bays and a no-take area for echinoderms for Cemetery Bay due to the ongoing issue of storm and groundwater pollution and the important role of herbivorous fish and echinoderms in controlling algal growth.
Cod Grounds Marine Park
Anchoring or mooring of vessels
Determination prohibiting the anchoring or mooring of vessels.
North Network
There are no determinations relating to the North Network other than those listed above in the ‘All networks’ section.
North-west Network
Ashmore Reef Marine Park - Recreational Use Zone (IUCN IV)
Fishing other than commercial fishing
Determination relating to fishing other than commercial fishing being allowed, consistent with the WA Government Recreational Fishing Rules, however catch of WA protected species is not permitted.
Cartier Island Marine Park and part of the Ashmore Reef Marine Park
Prohibited areas
Determination prohibiting vessel entry at all times.
Mermaid Reef
Anchoring restrictions
Determination directing vessels to only anchor in the specified anchoring area, to not raft up to another anchored vessel unless it’s a tender and not leave an anchored vessel unattended.
